     Associates can expect to work on a number of cases of varied subject matter in various courts, state and federal, trial and appellate. Associates are afforded great responsibility for their cases from the beginning, and there is a good deal of opportunity to appear in court and before arbitrators. For instance, within the first year or two of practice, many associates have argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
